As a VERY experienced RuneScape player, I have a great peice of wisdom to share with all you RuneScapers out there.

If somebody calls you a noob, swears at you or gives you a mouthful when you play and you feel angry, there are things you can do without getting yourself into trouble with the possibility of being banned. These things include:

- Put the person/people on your ignore list
- Set Public Chat to "off" or "Friends"
- Log Out and Switch Worlds
- Set Private Chat to "Off" or "Friends"

If you get too angry, I strongly recommend taking a 10 - 15 minute break from the game to calm yourself down. Have a drink, sit down, close your eyes and breathe deeply. This will guarantee that you will be calm.

Once you feel as if you are calm enough to re-enter the game, I suggest you do so but try to avoid confrontation and conflict with other players. That way, you have a much less chance of being angry again.

If you are wondering why I have decided to post this on the site, it is because recently, I lost my temper at a few beggers in Al-Kharid, thus resulting in a black mark. I also swore at another player who tried to scam my password outside of game which resulted in another black mark.

I just wish that this does not happen to you, the reader, the gamer.
